The Spanish Strawberry

Pagi ini seperti biasa sambil mata mengadap laptop, mulut mengunyah strawberry yang dibeli di Mercadona. Harga 1.15 euros sekotak. Cuaca di luar baik hari ni...matahari memancar tapi suhu still 11 deg. Semalam ada kelas finance yang ramai classmates ter'confuse' ingatkan batal. Semalam juga aku dan che is pergi membeli daging, ayam, kambing, salami, burger ayam dan pisang untuk stok 2 minggu. Penat tapi che is bawa aku keluar hirup udara luar sambil makan kebab di Repollet. Cuba menenagkan hati ku yang masih sedih kehilangan "gemuk". Pagi ni pun masih ada sisa2 sedih di hati ini. Manakan tidak, dari sebesar ibu jari ku bela hingga sebesar tapak tangan...pasti terasa jika 3 tahun dah bersama.

Aku kunyah strawberry dari Spain lagi...sedap. Manis buah...Hari ini aktiviti bersama Mar, jalan2 di Catalunya. Kami berdua plan nak minum xocolata sesama...terpikir plak sedapnya kalau minum dgn strawberry nie...Okay dibawah adalah info berkenaan industri Strawberyy di Sepanyol!

" In recent years the Spanish Strawberry Industry has responded to an increase in demand from the export market. The strawberry area dedicated to the crop has grown from 3 700 ha in 1970 to 5 800 ha in 1980 and to 8 700 ha in 1985. Production has also increased correspondingly from 10 800 t to 98 000 t to 164 000 t. All the crop is cultivated on raised mulched beds and a significant proportion of it ( 61% ) is cultivated under plastic materials ( low and tall tunnels ). Exports have increased from 138 t in 1970 to 9 490 t in 1980 and to 71 910 t 1986. The most important growing areas are in the Southwest ( Huelva ) and on the mediterranean coastline ( mainly in Valencia area ). About 17% of the strawberry production is processed. The more popular cultivars at the moment are Douglas, Chandler and Pajaro. In the Huelva area the planting occurs in the autumn whereas in the Valencia area in the summer with cold stored runners."
